“Joe runs with open arms over the cliff toward the sea, behind him a majestic lighthouse. A boat is waiting for him.”
The series of tables and consoles Joe, are the material transposition of the ink drawings, a sign that repeats obsessively, in the drawings it sometimes blends in with the rocks, the landscape transforming from a human figure to an animal or plant, in its essence one can glimpse the memory of the Nuragic bronzes. It is a free figure that comes to meet with open arms as a sign of disarmament, freedom and liberation. The objects then contain intentional references to Gio Ponti, Mondrian play on the different composition of modular wooden or lacquered elements, precious ceramic inserts and brass interlocking legs to form the structures of the tables of different heights and sizes. Glass tops highlight the geometry of the joints and the different composition of materials.
